Beauty Box Update: February Top Box
February 25, 2013Happy Monday! Hope the weather was fabulous over the weekend wherever you are! Just a quick post today as I'm exhausted from a week of doing nothing (seriously). I woke up for a midterm this morning that was supposed to be from 1:30-2:30 in the afternoon, only to be notified at 12:45 that the exam actually started at 1:00. Uh, talk about stressful.
I've had some questions in the past couple weeks about the beauty boxes available in Canada at the moment, so I thought I'd touch a bit on the subject. In the past couple months, a lot of the beauty boxes have increased their prices and changed their products - some for the better, and some for the worse.
For a few months I had stopped all my subscriptions to boxes as I had way too many samples to deal with. I still do, but was curious about Top Box. They've been known to offer high-end bands, and for a price of $12, it is one of the cheaper subscriptions out there. They have now also launched a Wishlist program (chose the box you want to receive most!) and something they call a Prive box, which is a box that showcases samples from only one brand. I've had the Clinique prive box and my February Top Box (shown above) so far, and I'm quite liking it. Hey, if deluxe brands like Deborah Lippman and B. Kamins are showing up in my box, I'm not going to complain.
Reviews for the products coming up ASAP! :)
Which boxes are you subscribed to? Thanks for reading & have a good week everyone!

I'm only subscribed to topbox. I have considered subbing to other boxes but never did since all other subscription services seem to fluctuate a lot more in the quality of samples and types of products month to month. I think Topbox has the best customer service, which is always a plus. I would love to hear how you find the MUFE foundation. I've been interested in trying that one out.
ReplyDeleteI got the benefit box so I missed out all these great samples that came in the regular box. But the Benefit prive was pretty awesome as well, since I got to try out a few of the products i was already interested in trying and haven't yet.
I definitely agree with you on the quality of samples provided by Topbox - it's pretty consistent so I'm happy about that! I'll definitely put up a review about the MUFE when I get around to using it :)
DeleteI did consider getting the Benefit box, it looked great! I've definitely tried everything in there already so I was glad to have these great samples come to me in the regular box.
I am currently subscribed to Topbox and Ipsy. They have been pretty consistent with their quality of goodies sent out. Quite happy with them and they ship around the same time every month unlike Luxe Box which was so unreliable with their shipping dates.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's really awesome! This Top Box sounds really nice and I love how they have the Prive box. That's really awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted this because I was really curious about this box! Especially the MUFE and Deborah Lippmann! I got the Benefit box and love it! Plus it came in the cutest packaging! Can't wait to read the product reviews!
ReplyDeleteWow such a great box. I also subscribed to an online shop that also gives a box loaded with accessories for a cheap price.
ReplyDeleteOo, looks so interesting and I didnt see that products before. Nice post. Have a great day.

ReplyDeleteHaha we're always exhausted after doing nothing, that's the same for me :)
ReplyDeleteLove all these little products and your picture is perfect!
Bisous, Marie ♥
Right now I'm on subscribed to Luxe Box. They recently changed to quarterly boxes but I actually like it since it gives me more time to try out the products before something new comes.
ReplyDeleteThat method is definitely great when you want to have time to try things out before getting more :) I have TONS to work through!
DeleteI really want to subscribe to a box! I was looking into Glossybox but if this one is better, maybe I'll consider this one! :)
ReplyDeleteoooh looking good!!! always great to try out some new products!
ReplyDeleteInteresting, i've read from a few bloggers recently that Glossybox prices have gone up and quality gone down! I'm happy i heard about this as i was planning to subscribe to it, lol.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of Topbox and prive box! definitely sounds more posh,hehe...i wouldn't complain either if i received Deborah Lippman products!!! I await for your reviews on the products:D
p.s. hope you did well on your midterm and talk about last min notice on changing the time?!?! lol

Yeah, I really did like the Glossyboxes in the beginning, but it's too bad that they're not living up to the expectations.

I used to rave on about Glossybox as well but now unsubscribed and don't recommend them anymore for a variety of reasons. I enjoy Topbox, Ipsy and my fave is Lip Factory! A box BRIMMING full of usually full sized products!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by! I would love to hear anything you have to say.
